Maikel did a good job last weekend in Paris

PARIS - LGCT Championship, hosted for the very first time by the City of Lights - Paris. Last weekend Maikel van der Vleuten has had some good results with VDL Groep Verdi NOP and VDL Groep Sapphire B.

49 riders started in the first round of the Loginess Global Champions Tour in Paris. Twelf riders, including Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Verdi, managed to stay clear and went through to the 2nd round along with six riders on four faults. The second round was a smooth and sweeping cours. Maikel and eight other riders jumped a double clear round and went to the final jump-off, witch proved a much more difficult course, with many places for riders to take a risks or even throw caution to the wind completely. Unfortunatelly Maikel and VDL Groep Verdi got one down in the final jump-off and ended on a (still beautifull) sixth place.

The final class of the first historic Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris Eiffel Jumping, the Gucci Gold Cup, Maikel started with VDL Groep Sapphire B. The startlist was packed with 41 top names, but clear rounds were few and far between. Seven riders went through to the jump-off on a zero score, including Maikel and VDL Groep Sapphie B. Also in the jump-off they stayed clear with a quick time that was good for a beautifull second place.
