Maikel van der Vleuten on the podium in London

LONDON - In the heart of the city of London is the Horse Guards Parade Ground and there was the Global Champions Tour. In the first round there where 22 combinations clear and six placed themselfs for the barrage. Maikel and VDL Groep Verdi ended on a nice third place.

"There was a big difference between both rounds. The first round was high but the second round was also difficult. Not only because the obstacles were higher and wider, but mainly because the obstacles were very delicate. All boards were very light and thereby felled easily. The barrage started for me not so great, because the distance from the first to the second was not so nice. We continued to be clear, but Verdi had a little stumble after the third. Thereby I didn't got a nice distance to the double, so we got one down in the double. Verdi is in a good shape and my father and I found this show a very good preparation for the World Championships'', said Maikel.
